Position Summary



The Shop Helper plays a key role in supporting daily operations across the production floor. This is a hands-on position suited for someone with strong mechanical aptitude- ideally someone who grew up working on cars, small engines, or mechanical projects and enjoys figuring out how things work. The Shop Helper assists Millwrights, Shippers/Receivers, Painters and the Production team to keep workflow moving, ensure accurate preparation of parts, and maintain a clean and safe shop environment. This role offers the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop foundational skills in pump assembly, testing, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities



Assembly & Production Support



Support Millwrights by completing initial parts detailing prior to pump assembly. Perform final pump detailing and quality checks before shipment. Prepare cable assemblies for production and testing. Assist with equipment testing as required. Help with paint prep for parts and pump assemblies prior to finishing or coating.

Shop Operations & Maintenance



Operate the sandblasting unit and parts washer safely and effectively. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment through regular sweeping, operating the floor washer, and organizing of work areas. Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and shop procedures at all times.

Qualifications



Strong mechanical aptitude- ideally someone who has worked on cars, small engines, machinery, or hands-on mechanical projects growing up or in previous roles. Certified SDCB and Standup Forklift Certified Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (training provided). Ability to work collaboratively with a production team and follow instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
