Reporting to the Repair Manager, the Shop Hand will be accountable for:

Technician Assistance & Support

Complete basic mechanical work under supervision: checking & changing fluid, replacing lights, filters, minor adjustments, greasing vehicles & equipment Move tools, assist with daily mechanical tasks Provide support to technicians as required

Parts & Inventory tracking:

Assist service coordinator with managing and updating inventory Organize shipments, restock consumables Pick up/Drop off parts, and other transport requests

Logistics & Transportation Support:

Assist with shuttling company vehicles Pick up/Drop off with vendors as required Clean trucks & equipment as required

Health & Safety Compliance:

Follow all safe work procedures Wear required PPE

Yard Management

Ability to tow vehicles and lift 80lbs Plan & organize yard for optimal efficiency
Qualifications

Class 5 driver's license less than 6 demerits Mechanical knowledge & experience Satisfactory Criminal Record Check Ability to lift 80 lbs
Skills:

Forklift, skidsteer, equipment operation experience an asset Ability to learn new technology Knowledge of the Transportation, Towing, Automotive industry an asset Strong interpersonal & communication skills Ability to organize, prioritize, and fulfilling the day to day departmental tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
