Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice with a foundational understanding of mechanics to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has strong mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable working with tools and equipment in a fast-paced construction environment. The Shop Assistant will play a key role in supporting daily shop operations, ensuring that equipment, tools, and production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assist with the assembly and preparation of products and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace in compliance with all safety protocols. Use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks and perform basic tool maintenance as required. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet project deadlines. Support inventory management activities, including receiving, organizing, and tracking materials and parts. Provide general assistance within the shop to keep operations running efficiently.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience working in a shop or mechanical environment is preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot simple equipment issues is considered an asset. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Willingness to learn, grow, and develop skills within the construction and mechanical fields.
