General Labourer/ Shop Hand for Plumbing Company

We are seeking a motivated individual for a temporary position as a shop hand/helper at our plumbing shop in Lynden. This individual will be required to assist with various shop duties including cleaning and organizing the shop and yard, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the yard, including cutting grass, pressure washing machinery and trucks, assisting with loading/unloading of heavy equipment, shoveling, hand digging, etc.

On occasion this position may require you to assist on site with plumbing/well work by assisting the plumber/well technician, organizing tools and always maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Perform general housekeeping and clean-up of shop and yard. Assist with the organization and maintenance of the shop. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Self motivated Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic tools Ability to perform physical labour and manual tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, being on your feet for the duration of the day.
Desired Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a shop environment. Experience with basic hand tools and equipment. Ability to work with others and alone.
