Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Red Seal technician to lead our team in a fast-paced automotive repair environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of shop operations, and the ability to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely. As a Shop Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily operations, mentoring our very qualified apprentices, and completing diagnostics and test drives when required. This would be a great role for an experienced technician who feels it's time to hang up their tools for the most part and help a great crew with the day to day while preparing the next generation.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity. Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards and deadlines. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and performance. Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations within the shop. Collaborate with the service advisors to develop production schedules and allocate resources effectively. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and maintenance. Address any issues or concerns raised by staff or management promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Red Seal technician. Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and safety standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with team members and management. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
