We are currently seeking an Evening Shift Supervisor at our Edmonton facility. As Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for managing a team of roughly 10 individuals working on a variety of projects. You will be responsible for coordinating the shift to ensure assignments are completed to Norfab's high standards for quality. The Evening Shift Supervisor will also have production tasks of their own in addition to Supervising. Because the crew size is small, the Supervisor is expected to contribute to Fabrication work directly.

The evening shift currently runs from 3:30PM to 3:00AM Monday-Thursday. There is also a premium rate for nights. Overtime opportunities are often available on Saturdays for any employee interested in additional income.

Pay rate to be discussed in person and will be based on a combination of experience and skill set.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the production team during assigned shifts Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Analyze engineered specifications on drawings to ensure precise layout and assembly of components Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and maintenance Work directly with production team to complete tasks. Work with and assist in the mentoring process of apprentice welders in the shop Update production management software as tasks are completed

Qualifications



Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a supervisory role Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plasma/laser cutting, welding, rigging, and crane operation Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Ability to fabricate components according to specifications with attention to detail Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. CWB tickets Experience working with Aluminum and Stainless Steel is required
