Summary:

The Shipping/Warehouse Manager manages the warehouse activities and supervises shipping and warehouse staff.

Primary Responsibilities of the Shipping and Warehouse Manager:

Logistics:

Arrange transportation and orchestrate delivery of finished goods for shipments that may need specific arrangements, expediting, or re-directions, to meet customer demands with no delays Ensure client paperwork is complete in a timely manner Regularly review freight costs and transportation rates Negotiate contracts and maintain ongoing relationships with vendors Assist Accounting department with invoice verification in a timely manner for freight shipments Support Shipping with updates to Sales Department on order delivery status and transit details Arrange shipment re-directions and resolve any issues with late shipments Ensure timely communication to Sales, Accounting, and Operations teams
Shipping & Warehouse:

Oversees and coordinates all activities in the warehouse which includes preparing loads for shipments, receiving incoming deliveries and overseeing inventory. Streamlines shipping and receiving processes Supervises and directs shipping/receiving/warehouse staff Oversee current employees and new hires with Shipping & Warehouse training Establishes and maintains positive relationships with subordinates Provides performance reviews and recommendations to the Plant Manager Ensures warehouse/shipping supply inventory is kept at optimal levels Monitors the building and equipment and reports deficiencies/problems to the maintenance department Ensures a clean environment is maintained Ensures all warehouse staff work safely and follow established safety procedures Monitors compliance of warehouse activities with Associated Labels and Packaging food-safe and quality programs Follows all safety and food-safe procedures and complies with company policies Performs other related duties and tasks as required to meet the needs of our operations

Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications of the Shipping & Warehouse Manager:

Experience in Warehouse Operations & Logistics International shipment and customs procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Team-player Time Management Computer Proficient Narrow Isle Forklift Propane/Electric Forklift Strong attention to detail Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
