Shipping & Receiving Coordinator Position Summary Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator receives and stores incoming material, ships outbound materials, and assists with material and inventory tracking. This position is located in Strathroy, Ontario, one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions. Shifts: 12-hour Continental Shifts (Days and Nights) The Role

  • Cleans containers of incoming material prior to entry into the raw material warehouse and applies labels if necessary.
  • Receives inbound material into the computer inventory system and moves inventory and Performs system transactions for movement of inventory in computer system.
  • Delivers mail/packages, accounts for packing slips and files packing slips.
  • Supports and supplies all departments with material / inventory needs.
  • Completes daily safety inspections on lifting devices.
  • Follow all Safety Policies and procedures and Complies to all SOPs and GMPs
  • Ensure safe operation of all lifting equipment and wrapping equipment.
  • Completes all documentation required.
  • Performs other duties/projects as assigned.
The Candidate
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving or inventory control
  • Basic math skills
  • Capable of operating related computer applications (including but not limited to; Word, Excel, Outlook, Fourth Shift)
  • Capable of obtaining a Forklift Certificate Class 1,2 and 3
  • Capable of obtaining Aerial Platform Certificate including Fall Arrest
  • Capable of obtaining Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate
  • Ability to work independently, as required, and complete daily activities.
  • Works cooperatively in teams, communicates clearly, and has effective listening skills.
  • The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Use of manual dexterity is required.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend, or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • There is also the potential exposure to chemicals and outdoor weather conditions.
