Our expectations:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator supports Operations teams by ensuring all paperwork is available and completed in a timely and accurate manner. By planning and coordinating what product is received into the facility, the facility can ensure inventory is stocked and is readily available for the stores. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is further responsible for the overall effective and efficient running of the operations.
*Location: Milton Distribution Center
*Shift: Tuesday to Friday 10:30 pm to 8:00 am
Your role:
Analyze, close and file completed purchase orders and assist in freight claims
Schedule, set up and release inbound and outbound product in our WMS (Warehouse Management System)
Schedule appointments, assign doors and verify Purchase Orders
Ensure paperwork is accurate and all necessary documentation is obtained to verify receipt quantity to invoiced quantity
Communicate priority and aged receiving POs not completed
Receive and organize returned/unfinished assignments
Research and resolve issues related to receiving to ensure accuracy/ Variance report
Interact with and address any questions or concerns from transport drivers as they wait during load pick up or drop off
Ensure efficient workflow of shipments based on specified routes.
Manage shorts and replenishment issues.
Manage daily shipping trailers, communicate with shunt drivers and carriers.
Load management, close and print outbound BOLs.
Process and wave order allocations and reports in a timely and accurate manner
Cross-train as required.
Maintain a clean work environment and inventorying of supplies needed
Encourage and participate in teamwork and the buildings success through a positive attitude
Act in accordance with all current RONA policies and procedures while upholding our 5 core values
Aware and respectful of warehouse safety standards with a 100% commitment to providing and upholding a safe work environment
Good visual/manual co-ordination with attention to detail and high accuracy
Must be physically fit and able to handle merchandise ranging in weight from 50-75+lbs occasionally (team lift over 50 lbs)
The qualifications we are looking for:
1-2 years previous inventory, shipping or receiving experience within a warehouse environment is an asset
Experience with software applications including MS Office and a current Warehouse Management System (WMS). Blue Yonder WMS would be an advantage.
Strong operational knowledge of a distribution environment is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving
Successfully manages multiple tasks simultaneously while still being detail-oriented Related experience and knowledge a definite priority
Committed to providing excellent customer service
Excellent listening, communication, and organizational skills
Time management and problem-solving skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to perform job duties that involve stretching, bending, lifting, carrying medium to heavy products
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
