The Shipping Lead is responsible for coordinating the shipment and receiving of all products on site. Including finished goods, resale items, raw materials, and plant consumables. This role ensures efficient shipping operations, maintains high standards of quality, and supports internal teams to meet customer needs.

Shipping & Receiving Operations




Coordinate the shipment and receiving of all products, including finished goods, raw materials, and consumables. Determine appropriate shipment methods and ensure timely coordination. Inspect, verify, and receive incoming goods into the ERP system against invoices or related documents. Prepare and complete all required shipping paperwork and operational reports. Prepare bills of lading, customs forms, and other shipping documents manually or through the ERP system.

Team Leadership




Lead the shipping team to ensure on-time delivery. Direct and coordinate team activities in preparing orders. Ensure shipping team members follow SOPs, policies, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Maintain accurate records of shift activities, personnel performance, and production metrics. Provide coverage for the Receiver as required.

Order Preparation & Inventory




Prioritize daily shipping picks to meet customer needs effectively. Assist with handpicked orders and assemble customer orders on pallets. Participate in regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory record-keeping systems (manual or computerized). Lead various related projects, including packaging bulk stock, reorganizing parts shelves, and conducting physical counts.

Material Handling & Equipment Operation




Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine required items for movement, gathering, or distribution. Coordinate the assembly of containers and crates.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, and inventory control within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.

+ Experience with LTL and domestic/international parcel shipping preferred.
1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience. Experience operating counterbalance forklifts, electric walkies, and Raymond Reach vehicles. Proficiency with ERP/shipping systems and shipping documentation. Ability to read and understand work orders, drawings, and customer specifications. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Valid driver's license required.
