Summary:



Reporting to the Purchaser and working closely with assembly and electrical teams, the shipping & receiving clerk is responsible for receiving/inspecting/recording shipment; maintaining inventory; preparing paperwork and packaging for outgoing shipments, and providing support to purchasing.

Permanent, Full Time, Day Shift

Responsibilities:



Receiving:



Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt. Unload packages from incoming trucks. Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged. Verify packages according to order and packing slips. Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified. Allocate parts to designated places.

Crib:



Restock tooling and parts inventories. Adjust inventory in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Excel. Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.

Shipping:



Write work orders for materials going out for processing. Pack/package outgoing shipments. Label packages with vital information. Take photos. Set up courier shipments.

Data Entry:



Collaborate with purchaser to get new items entered into system for ordering. Write POs for commercial items, shop related and job related. Participate in vendor evaluations. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



1+ year of experience in receiving, inventory control or similar position. Computer and data entry skills, experience in Microsoft Dynamics-NAV is an asset. Knowledge of Customs documentation and process is an asset. Previous experience in forklift operation. Valid drivers license and insurable drivers abstract.
