Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and shipping & receiving processes, with the ability to operate various equipment including forklifts and reach trucks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in warehouse distribution, order fulfillment, and e-commerce logistics.

Duties



Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipt in warehouse management systems such as MRP or AS400 Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation of all shipping and receiving activities Operate warehouse management systems to track order status, stock levels, and shipment details Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms, ensuring timely dispatch of customer orders Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts and order quantities Support warehouse distribution tasks including organizing stock locations and managing order picking activities Follow safety procedures when operating equipment like forklifts and reach trucks to ensure a safe working environment

Skills



Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, or AS400 is preferred Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts and reach trucks Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes Experience with warehouse distribution and e-commerce logistics is a plus Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory counts and order calculations Familiarity with packaging standards to ensure product safety during transit Skilled in order picking, load & unload operations, and using order picker equipment Good organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
