SHIPPING AND RECEIVING POSITION

We have a Shipping and Receiving opportunity in a fast-paced industrial coating environment. Previous experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have forklift experience, a strong focus on safety, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, excellent organizational skills, openness to feedback, a strong work ethic, and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Training available in WHMIS, Forklift Certification, and Fall Zone Protection.

Schedule

: 5 - 8-hour shifts - Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:00pm

Shipper/Receiver Tasks and Responsibilities

Familiarizing yourself with and following Employee Handbook policies and procedures Ensuring workspaces are kept clean and organized Collaborating with the OHS committee to maintain safety standards Working closely with the Shift Supervisor to create schedules and task plans for the Delivery Driver and Forklift Driver Coordinating with office staff to ensure accuracy of packing slips Loading and unloading trucks and trailers, properly storing products Organizing the shop and yard, ensuring products are packaged correctly and received without damage Arranging and scheduling shipping and receiving methods Documenting incoming and outgoing products accurately Providing customer service to meet customer needs, both by phone and in person Understanding packing slips and purchase orders (POs) and ensuring jobs are tagged correctly.

Safety glasses, ear protection, work boots Knife, pliers Crane, cutting saw Steel banding, power tools (grinder/sander) Hanging hooks/chains, burn-off oven Pallet jack (motorized/non-motorized), hoist Hard hat, bander/banding machine Forklift, delivery truck.
