Position Profile:



The Shipper/Receiver coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments for our Antigonish location. This includes (but is not limited to): packaging items, printing labels, weighing packages, organizing shipments and receiving product at the loading area.

Core Responsibilities:



Unload and inspect: Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, while inspecting incoming goods for damage and verify they match invoices/packing slips. Operate forklift as required. Record and report discrepancies, including damaged goods, communicate to the appropriate personnel. Unpack, sort and move received items to their designated area, ensuring proper organization and cleanliness Prepare for shipment, package items securely for out-shipment, following carrier guidelines. Complete and maintain paperwork, such as invoices, packing slips, manifests, ensuring accuracy and proper filing. Mandatory Year End Inventory - assists with annual inventory control & cycle counts

Other Responsibilities:



Keep the area clean, safe and neat, including ensuring garbage in the garage and surrounding shipping area is emptied on a regular basis. Provide backup for Storefront, ensuring telephones are answered and filling in when needed Provide support to the Service Team; by ensuring parts are marked and team is notified of the arrival. Pumping and invoicing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Perform pick up and deliveries as needed Perform snow removal at all entrances & loading bay area Other duties as assigned

Requirements:



Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks safely and consistently, such as lifting up to 75 lbs/34 kg, climbing, kneeling, as required by the task. Must have aptitude to continually learn and upgrade skills/knowledge. Positive attitude and team player. Strong communication skills, patience and commitment to excellent service. Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn in-house programs. Valid driver's license (class 5), and able to reliably commute to Antigonish, NS. Forklift certification is an asset, but we will train.

Expected hours

:

7:30 am - 5:00 pm with a one (1) hour lunch at 12:00pm-1:00pm for 42.5 hours total per week.
