As a key member of our team, the Shipper/Receiver plays an important role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials in and out of our branch. This position supports our operations by managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining a safe and clean warehouse, and contributing to the success of our service and parts teams. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to working collaboratively across departments to get the job done right.
Key Responsibilities
Receive all incoming shipments in accordance with company procedures and promptly notify the appropriate team members.
Inspect and document any damage to incoming freight.
Accurately pick and prepare parts and equipment for shipment.
Process all necessary information within our inventory system.
Provide reports as needed related to inventory and shipments.
Ensure outgoing shipments are packed securely and professionally to prevent damage during transit.
Track and expedite inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery timelines.
Source the most cost-effective and reliable carriers for freight, request quotes, and monitor shipping costs.
Proactively communicate the status of urgent or time-sensitive shipments to internal teams and customers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard. This includes daily sweeping, spill cleanup, snow removal, garbage removal.
Maintain well-organized bin and shelving locations in the inventory area.
Greet and assist all visitors at the shipping doors--including truck drivers, couriers, and customers--in a professional and friendly manner.
Ensure warehouse shipping operations begin before 7:30 AM and continue through to 4:00 PM. Approved overtime may occasionally be required.
Support a culture of safety by following best practices and promoting safe behaviors.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Provide flexible support to other departments as needed, working as part of a larger team to achieve branch goals.
Qualifications Required

Experience with preparing and managing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and carrier paperwork.
Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
