What you will do:
Shipping:
Determines the least expensive and quickest method of shipment, arranges delivery, and prepares shipping documents
Prepares goods to be shipped
Directs delivery trucks to shipping doors or designated marshalling areas, and helps load and unload goods safely
Retrieves stored items and traces lost shipments as needed
Operates forklifts, hand trucks or other materials-handling equipment
Calls customers or company driver to co-ordinate pick-up and delivery
Receiving:
Inspects and counts items received, checks them against invoices or other documents, record shortages and fills out forms for damaged and returned damaged goods and routes them correctly
Unpacks and stores goods in the appropriate storage areas
Keeps accurate records of items received and where they are stored
Contacts vendors to resolve problems or contacts service depots to arrange for repair
Your qualifications:
1+ years of related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Crane & Rigging experience or certification an asset
Current Forklift license
What you bring to the position:
Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Excellent safety record
