Currently, we seek motivated and mechanically inclined individuals for our manufacturing location.

Shipper/Receiver DAYS Shirley Drive, Kitchener

HOURS: DAY - Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm

Duties Include:

Provide administrative support to the Shipping and Receiving Department. Pick and pack customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct parts are picked and the proper quantities are prepared. Verify information for incoming parts against invoices, orders, or other records and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receive incoming shipments and ensure that it is received correctly in the system. Create packing lists for items shipping to customer. Perform visual inspection of inventory received and shipped. Report quality variances, damage, missing or non-conforming parts. Maintain a clean, safe, and neat work area. Conduct physical inventories as required (ex. cycle counts, quantity verification). Affix shipping labels on items to be shipped. Route items to internal departments. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operate forklift or use pump truck to move shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. Empty chip bins as required. Assist in other production areas when required. Acting as a backup to the delivery driver as required and making deliveries to customers and suppliers.

Qualifications and Skills:

2 years of related work experience in shipping/receiving/inventory. Clean driving record with a G class license. Forklift Safety Training Certificate. Self-motivated team player with ability to work in multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment at times. Punctual, reliable, strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Physical Demands:

Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking, bending, climbing / descending / going under or on equipment as well as some physical lifting. Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change and lubricants and vibration. Wears all PPE as required.
