Summary

Structural Precast is seeking a dependable and organized

Shipper/Receiver - Yard Manager

to support our precast concrete manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of materials, products, and equipment throughout the yard and facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, yard coordination, and heavy material handling, with a strong focus on safety, inventory control, and operational efficiency in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment; verify shipments against purchase orders and inspect for damage Coordinate and manage the loading and unloading of precast products, raw materials, and steel using forklifts, loaders, cranes, or other lifting equipment Prepare outgoing shipments by staging, securing, and verifying loads for transport Manage yard organization, including material storage, traffic flow, and equipment placement to optimize efficiency and safety Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records through documentation and data entry Communicate with production, logistics, and dispatch to ensure timely movement of materials and finished products Conduct regular yard and inventory inspections to identify shortages, damages, or safety concerns Ensure all safety procedures and site policies are followed during loading, unloading, and yard operations Assist with general yard maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives Perform basic calculations related to weights, quantities, dimensions, and load planning

Experience

Previous experience in shipping and receiving, yard operations, or industrial/warehouse environments preferred Experience operating forklifts, loaders, cranes, or other heavy equipment is a strong asset Familiarity with inventory control systems, shipping documentation, and material tracking Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or precast concrete environments is an asset Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong commitment to safety and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
