Main Duties:

Shipping & Receiving is a vital part of our overall quality and manufacturing process, requiring strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will handle incoming and outgoing products, materials, and its documentation quickly, accurately, with care, and on schedule.

Assemble, plan and pre-stage packages and crates to be shipped. Preparing packing lists, BOL's and other documentation for outgoing shipments. Build crates and pallets as per design specifications. Assist in determining appropriate and efficient shipping instructions/methods for outgoing products. Receive and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods. Unpack and unload consumables to appropriate storage locations. Maintain the internal record-keeping system(s). Prepare part crates and ensure production departments have required materials on time. Communicate with relevant parties/departments to ensure production and shipping schedules are accurate and can be attained. Co-ordinate unloading activities for overseas containers. Loading completed gazebos / crates into overseas container for shipping. Other duties as required.

Requirements:

Attendance, punctuality, and consistency are vital. Minimum two (2) years experience in a full time Warehousing or Shipping/Receiving role. Minimum one (1) year experience preparing shipping documents. Minimum one (1) year experience loading and offloading materials to/from delivery trucks & shipping containers. Strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must have a professional demeanor. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Fluent in written and spoken English. Valid forklift operator certificate preferred. Valid Class 5 BC driver's license required.

Working Conditions:

Significant amount of standing and walking. Driving forklift in a paved yard. Regularly required to kneel; bend; squat; push; pull; reach above and below the waist. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (occasionally more with assistance). Regularly visits areas where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Occasional exposure to loud noises levels with supplied hearing protection.
