How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Shipping and receiving of hard good Inventory at the Moncton HUB warehouse to both external and internal customers

The main object and purpose of this position consist in ensuring the accurate receiving and shipping of goods and products in order to satisfy internal and external customer needs. The incumbent is also responsible for using our systems to their maximum capacity to maintain adequate inventory levels, control backorders and manage inventory turns, all while promoting ALC\xe2\x80\x99s quality and safety objectives.

Supplies customer service and shipping : Supplies customers promptly and accurately with welding and industrial hard goods as required. Loads trucks. Visually checks for appearance and defects. If he finds some, fills non-conformity reports and indicates the nature of the defect on the article. Returns the article to its origin. Prepares and supplies accurate shipping documents to all customers.

Is responsible for stock shelving: Unpacks, verifies and stocks shelves with all incoming shipments. Checks and confirms that all paperwork pertaining to shipment is accurate. Takes corrective action in the instance of overage, shortages, damaged or incorrect items, late shipments, claims and improper documentation.

Plays key role in proper inventory management: Works closely with Supply Chain Manager, Sales and Customer Service Teams to ensure that adequate stocks are maintained. Ensures that the goods orders are received and places them on the shelves. When required, assists in sourcing products from other locations.

Provides support to customer service: May assist customer service on order desk. Answers the phone and takes orders. Fills forms and enters data in our systems when requested. Prepares orders and ships them to customers.

Quality/Safety: Ensures all products are moved and stored in a safe manner, which meets both AL procedures and the City Fire codes. Reports any safety concern to a member of the safety committee. Secures building at the end of each workday. Maintains daily, monthly, annual check of all welding products, equipment, and supplies. Understands and implements required procedures (local work instructions) as established in the Quality Manual.

Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the work process. Continuously analyses the functioning of the activity, identifies causes of dysfunction and proposes corrective measures accordingly.



Are you a MATCH?

Diploma: High School diploma and/or combination of education and experience in welding and industrial products and gases.

Training: Forklift training, Transportation of Dangerous Goods. Good driver\'s abstract & mechanically inclined.

Knowledge: Mathematical skills, MS Office, valid driver\'s license, good knowledge of AL products.

Physical demands: the employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
