Job Description


Reporting to the Procurement and Materials Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring adequate stock levels and maintaining cleanliness within Hangers in Yellowknife and Inuvik, NT. The Shipper/receiver will also be responsible for building and replenishing air ambulance kits, managing expiry dates on medical consumables within the Hanger, along with an array of general warehouse duties. *
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* *
Maintaining accurate stock levels and ordering supplies within Hangers in Inuvik and Yellowknife, NT.

  • Coordinating the cleaning of sleeping bags.
  • Assisting with the monitoring of expired inventory. Including removing items from shelves and accurately tracking them within the inventory system.
  • Packing and shipping expired medical supplies to suppliers.
  • Receiving incoming inventory to ensure goods are received in good condition and match their appropriate packing slips.
  • Notifying the Procurement and Materials Manager of any discrepancies while receiving goods.
  • Accurately labeling and re-stocking the warehouse with received merchandise.
  • Picking and packing orders to ship to clients.
  • Building and replacing Rental Kits. Maintaining an ample supply of Rental Kits that are prepared to be sent out anytime without prior notice.
  • Utilizing written equipment checklists to assemble education supplies and equipment.
  • Shipping and tracking education bags at the direction of the Education department.
  • Restocking and receiving education bags upon return from course sites.
  • Assisting community instructors with room prep and post-course clean up.
  • Completing daily deliveries for customers.
  • Completing weekly deliveries of medical gas to Stanton Hospital and picking up empty cylinders.
  • Assisting the Operations Coordinator with moving vehicles, building industrial kits, and restocking industrial kits.
  • Scanning and receiving documents to mail to the administrative staff as required.
  • Completing inventory and cycle counts.
  • Organizing and maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse and surrounding yard.
  • Other delivery, warehouse, and cleaning duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:* *
Previous experience within a warehouse setting (preferably within a medical environment.)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to track, maintain, and organize warehouse inventory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities with little to no notice.
  • Valid class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with an acceptable driving record.

Working inside within a warehouse facility
  • Working near heavy machinery and vehicles
  • Occasional duties performed outside in varying weather conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:* *
Pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs unassisted consistently throughout the day
  • Repetitive movements including walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to operating large vehicles and equipment.
