Job Description

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible in maintaining customer service standards through safe and efficient operation, while adhering to Company policies, procedures and standards. The Shipper/Receivers function is to ensure the prompt shipment of goods and to check incoming packages for completeness and damage.



Responsibilities:



Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer merchandise, questions, comments, requests, and complaints. Effectively work in a diverse team environment in a proficient and friendly manner. Perform duties in an organized manner with accuracy and attention to detail maintaining confidentiality of information at all times. Co-ordinate deliveries to ensure the best route of shipment based on cost, estimated delivery time and destination. Assist the supervisor to ensure the warehouse is operating in accordance with company policies, procedures and programs. Provide ongoing feedback to the supervisor regarding recommendations for continued improvement of the warehouse operation. Establish and maintain a strong, efficient, and productive working relationship with approved professionals, business organizations, and internal/external company representatives. Accurately and efficiently handle the delivery or receiving of merchandise, preparing items for shipment, tracking of shipped products, inventory control, price integrity, the ordering of supplies and administrative areas not specifically referred to in this document. Is responsible for preparing all shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests. This process must be carried out in accordance with generally accepted procedures. Assist in maintaining the AADL recycle program, maintenance of company vehicles, the maintenance of all rental equipment and the cleanliness of the warehouse. Adhere to all government and professional standards and regulations as they apply to the Home Health Care Industry. Responsible for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) including participate in OH&S activities, knowledgeable about and comply with OH&S policies, procedures and legislation, assist in identifying unhealthy, unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken. Provide training to new shippers/receivers. Provides verbal and written reports to Technical Services Supervisor on the status of training progress as required.

Minimum Qualifications:



Grade 12 education. Insurable Drivers Abstract Basic Computer Skills

Desirable Qualifications:



Forklift Certification Previous experience
