Position Title: ShipperPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: Florenceville WarehouseRequisition ID: 31689DATE: August 26th 2024JOB TITLE: Shipper (Full-Time Position)DEPARTMENT: Carleton Cold Storage WarehouseJOB GRADE: HourlyGRADE RANGE: Grade 5 ($22.68 - $24.79)Position SummaryThis position is responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving activities following the schedule as set in the Transportation Management System (TMS). Also, work in collaboration with the Shipping Supervisor to organize the loading docks in a manner to ensure a safe and productive environment. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an eagerness to grow within the department and meet requirements for progressive leadership roles.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of shipping documents prior to and after loading orders.
• Ensure trailers are suitable for loading.
• Communicate with the shunt truck driver to organize the trailers and docks.
• Organize loads to meet schedule. Assist the Shipping Foreman with load priorities.
• Work with TMS, ITS, WMS and SAP systems
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Be the communication point with carriers.
• Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts.
• Communicate problems to Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent is preferred, relevant experience will also be considered.
• Must have good computer skills and be proficient in MS office suite. Experience in SAP, WMS and TMS will be considered an asset.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate leadership skills and be willing to progress in a leadership role.
• Must be highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
• Team player with excellent attendance.
