Hexagon\'s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a Shipper to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed for customer service excellence and continuous improvement. You will bring your shipping and manufacturing experience to play a key role in our safety conscious and temperature and humidity controlled environment. You take care in following compliance policies and processes and your suggestions will make a difference in achieving our shipping targets. The Location: This position is in our Hexagon Calgary Campus and requires a full-time office commitment. In this state-of-the-art location, we offer a casual and innovative work environment, including leading edge technology, on-site gym, dedicated bike storage room, and underground parking.

Responsibilities

As a Shipper your responsibilities will be:

• Comply with the company\'s Export Compliance Policy
• Ship domestic and international goods using courier software and with freight forwarders as per arranged instructions ensuring pickups
• Prepare and sign off on export declarations using CERS
• Pack and ship dangerous goods as per TDG and IATA and pack items for shipment requests
• Arrange/book and confirm pickups ensuring goods depart on time
• Complete, distribute and file shipping documentation including CoO as per customer request and company policies on records keeping and destruction
• Seek and implement continuous improvements using LEAN methodologies in all of your duties

Qualifications

Must have:

• High School diploma
• 2-5 years related experience in shipping including shipping
• Courier software experience \xe2\x80\x93 FedEx, UPS, DHL
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Have:

• International/exporting shipping experience
• Valid TDG and IATA or expired within the last 3 years
• Continuous Improvement experience and education in LEAN or 6 Sigma
• Syteline ERP knowledge
