RAM Elevators & Lifts Inc. is an industry leading, Edmonton-based manufacturer of residential and commercial elevators and accessibility lifts. Our team is looking to hire an organized and efficient individual to join our Shipping/Packaging department.
About the role
RAM's Shipping/Packaging department is the company's last line of defense in ensuring a positive experience for its customers. A product may be of high quality, but if it is not packaged correctly then the likelihood of it arriving damaged is high. Therefore, the Shipper/Packager department prides themselves on quality control and ensuring customers who are excited to receive their new Wheelchair Lift or Elevator receive it in great condition.
Daily, you will be meeting with the Shipping/Receiving Team Lead to develop a game plan of what needs to be packaged/shipped. You will then use a series of tools (nail guns, drills, hammers, ratchets) and materials (foam, bubble wrap, wood, OSB) to package different RAM products for shipping. While managing their time packaging, packagers are also responsible for receiving incoming materials into the building, counting that material, and getting it to the team leads. Lastly, Packagers are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
