Shipping Quality Control and Logistics Coordinator (Onsite - Mississauga)
Key Responsibilities:
Shipper-Receiver:
Plan and oversee operational logistics of supply-chain work.
Communicate regularly with Production supervisors and the Purchasing team to coordinate activities between the production floor, warehouse, customers.
Co-ordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of materials within the organization and ensure that supplies, materials and products are shipped and received on schedule
Handle both shipping and receiving tasks
Participate to cycle counts operations
Review receiving shipments documents, input received goods into the system
Store received items on shelves
Pick products from shelves as per orders, pack, and label parcels for shipment accurately & in a timely manner.
Assemble and wrap skids for safe shipment
Input data into computer for courier, freight, domestic and export shipments
Prepare shipping documents
Interact with delivery drivers and freight companies
Book courier shipments online
Use the forklift (mainly counter balance forklift, and pallet truck lifting device) to dispatch raw materials to production team as per daily production schedules
Prepare export (cross border) shipment for both parcels and skids shipment.
Prepare and process all customs documents for International & U.S. shipments.
Prepare handling of goods, material receipts.
Maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)
Use all required protective equipment at all times: safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vest, ear protection, gloves, etc.
Respect at all times all safety procedures and thoroughly apply the practices instructed during the training
Quality Inspection:
Inspect Materials to ensure conformance to specification.
Compare items packed with customer orders and other identifying data for quality control
Analyze quality trends to determine the drivers of the variances.
Prepare draft investigative reports of findings & recommend improvements & corrective actions by collaborating with the Operations & Production team.
Conduct ongoing operational audits against best practices and report results to the leadership team.
Conduct spot audits outside of cycle count program.
Reporting & Inventory:
Maintain inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.
Monitor inventory levels as materials, equipment and stock are issued, transferred within the business units or sold to the customers using inventory systems
Compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of materials, equipment and stock on hand, materials used, rates of production, using manual or computerized inventory systems
Prepare requisition orders to replenish materials, equipment and stock
Maintain stock rotation and dispose off and account for outdated stock
Enter data for production scheduling, stock replenishment/relocation and inventory adjustments
Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.
Review requisition orders for accuracy and verify that materials, equipment and stock are not available from current inventories
Coordinate with the Purchasing & Production team to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other logistic issues.
Maintain records for inventory accuracy trends, inventory reconciliations, and inventory audits.
Manage weekly/monthly/ YTD reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
Other duties as assigned by the Management.
Profile and Qualifications
Completed post-secondary education.
Prior experience with shipping, receiving & inventory, using computer system, software or ERP is required
Prior experience as a warehouse worker is an asset.
Forklift license is required.
Driver's license is required.
Ability to create and present detailed reports
Problem-solving attitude and attention to details
Excellent attendance
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Excellent communications skills
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to read, write, and must have basic mathematical skills
Able to work over-time and weekend shifts if required
Salary & Conditions:
Job location: Ammega Canada Inc, 265 Export Blvd, Mississauga, ON
Salary: $23 - $24 per hour - depending on profile and experience
Timings : 7.30 am to 4pm.
