We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to team management, food safety, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during each shift. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and POS systems. A background in supervising teams, managing food handling procedures, and maintaining high standards of hospitality is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality service
Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold food safety standards
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and compliance with health regulations
Manage cash handling procedures, including POS transactions.
Train and mentor team members on food safety, food handling, and hospitality best practices
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely replenishment of supplies
Resolve customer concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
Enforce adherence to all safety protocols, including food safety standards and sanitation procedures
Collaborate with management on operational improvements and staff scheduling
Experience
Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service environment
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Strong background in customer service, hospitality, and team management
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Previous roles involving restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or hotel/hospitality settings are preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and handle interviewing processes
Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems or comparable technology is required
