We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food preparation and service. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests while effectively managing the team.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
Train, mentor, and manage team members to uphold service standards and enhance performance
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and adherence to safety guidelines
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including Micros POS
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff members
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving operational efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Previous experience with cash handling and POS systems (Micros POS preferred)
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista duties is highly desirable
Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
