We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience. Prior experience in food preparation, and team leadership is essential for success in this position.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant activities, ensuring smooth service during assigned shifts
Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold quality standards
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Manage POS systems, including accurate cash handling and order processing
Monitor food handling procedures, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards
Assist with food service operations, including serving customers when necessary
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with hospitality standards
Train staff on food safety, food handling, and proper kitchen procedures
Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers as needed
Experience
Proven supervising experience within the food service or hospitality industry
Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
Familiarity with POS systems
Previous experience in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, including interviewing and training new employees
Knowledge of the food industry standards, kitchen operations, and hospitality best practices
Experience in cash handling, food safety compliance, and managing restaurant operations
