Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during your shift, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead team members to ensure efficient operations during shifts Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for order processing and inventory control Conduct staff training and development to enhance team performance Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly Collaborate with upper management on budgeting and operational strategies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas

Requirements

Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting Strong background in food service management, including culinary experience Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team Knowledge of inventory control processes and cash handling procedures Experience with training & development of staff members Familiarity with hospitality management principles and practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles is preferred
