We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food industry experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing customer interactions, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant activities to ensure smooth operations during assigned shifts.
Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff performance.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to meet quality and safety standards.
Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling accurately.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper food storage procedures.
Enforce restaurant policies, health & safety protocols, and hospitality standards consistently.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow during busy periods.
Support team development through coaching on hospitality best practices and leadership skills.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience with POS systems; cash handling expertise required.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
Leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams effectively in high-pressure environments.
Background in food industry roles including restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or hotel/hospitality sectors preferred.
Ability to oversee food handling procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations.
