We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Quality Assurance team as a
Quality Assurance Supervisor
. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to a team of inspectors while ensuring that our products and processes consistently meet the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, proven supervisory skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Quality Assurance Inspectors.
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to QA team members.
Oversee inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Review inspection data, test results, and defect reports to identify trends and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances and improve quality processes.
Ensure adherence to ISO, AAR, and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain documentation and prepare reports for management on quality metrics and performance.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the QA department.
Support company initiatives related to safety, cost control, and production efficiency.
Requirements
5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or related manufacturing roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Strong working knowledge of welding standards and defect identification (AWSD.15.1).
Prior experience with coatings and railcar production processes is an asset.
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical documents, and specifications.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to foster collaboration across multiple departments.
Vision is a bona fide requirement for this position; candidates must provide a copy of a Jaeger 2 equivalent test to demonstrate visual acuity.
