  • Have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in pulp and paper.

  • Be proficient in the main software programs for his activity sector.
  • Display outstanding drive and an exceptional ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR - PAPER MACHINE - Scarborough
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Paper Machine Shift Supervisor manages and supervises the daily activities of available human and physical resources in order to optimize production and respect environmental and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure the production of quality paper and prepare daily production reports.
  • Help to improve the Department's health and safety performance by being vigilant about potential hazards and playing a strong leadership role.
  • Manage all personnel under his responsibility by adopting a proactive attitude.
  • Provide technical support to his team and encourage team members to enhance their initiative and to promote continuous improvement principles in order to identify strategies to boost productivity and improve the quality of work.
  • Continually seek new ideas and assist in the resolution of problems while taking into account budgetary restrictions and various standards.
  • Work closely with various internal and external clients.
