We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a focus on team leadership, customer service, and operational excellence. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage staff while ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to company standards and policies.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering and stock management to minimize waste.
Utilize POS systems such as POS or Micros POS for cash handling and transaction processing.
Train, develop, and mentor staff in areas of food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a strong workforce.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning to optimize restaurant performance.
Collaborate with upper management on strategic initiatives for growth and improvement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
Familiarity with inventory control practices and cash handling procedures.
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management and staff training & development.
Knowledge of fine dining or casual dining operations is preferred.
Experience with food service management software (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
