We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our team operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on best practices in customer service and food handling. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper stock rotation. Handle cash management duties, including cash handling and reconciliation at the end of shifts. Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist with interviewing potential candidates for various positions within the restaurant. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and quality standards.

Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Proficiency in POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling. Knowledge of bartending practices is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Familiarity with kitchen operations and food handling procedures. Previous experience in interviewing candidates is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Morning shift Night shift On call Overtime Weekends as needed
