Position Summary



We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented

Crane Supervisor

to lead crane operations within our manufacturing facility. The Crane Supervisor will oversee a team of crane operators to ensure the safe, efficient, and precise movement of materials and components across the site. This role is responsible for ensuring proper crane operation, maintaining safety standards, scheduling lifts, and coordinating with other departments to meet production and logistics needs. The position involves working a rotating shift schedule and requires hands-on leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities



Supervise, coach, and support a team of crane operators to ensure safe and efficient material handling in accordance with company policies and safety regulations. Plan, schedule, and oversee lifting operations to support production timelines, material flow, and plant logistics. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Shipping departments to prioritize tasks. Perform regular safety audits, lift plan reviews, and job site inspections to ensure compliance with OHSA regulations, company safety standards, and crane load charts. Troubleshoot operational issues with cranes and rigging systems, working closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly and downtime is minimized. Maintain accurate documentation of crane operations, inspections, maintenance logs, and incident reports. Foster a safety-first culture and continuous improvement mindset among the team. Identify training needs and facilitate development opportunities for operators. Ensure cranes and lifting gear are inspected and maintained according to schedule, and any unsafe equipment is removed from service promptly.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in crane operation or rigging are preferred. Minimum of 5 years of crane operation experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Extensive knowledge of overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and material handling equipment. Strong understanding of OHSA regulations and best practices related to lifting and rigging. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple lifting operations across shifts. Certification in crane operation and rigging is strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret lift plans, technical drawings, and load charts. Comfortable working at heights, in varying environmental conditions, and on a rotating shift schedule.

Pay: From $39.05 per hour
