We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service during each shift to promote a positive dining experience for guests.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow during assigned shifts
Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing and onboarding new staff
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to maintain quality standards
Manage cash handling and POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and uphold hospitality standards
Train staff on food industry best practices, including serving techniques and kitchen safety
Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and safety
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within food service or restaurant management roles
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Prior experience in hospitality, hotel, or barista roles is advantageous
Knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service excellence, and food industry standards
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Experience in interviewing potential staff members and conducting team training sessions
