Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift leader to work in fast paced operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires effective team management, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a positive attitude work environment. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall dining experience while driving operational efficiency.

Duties

Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service. Train and mentor staff in food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices. Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a strong workforce. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the management team to implement operational strategies that improve efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management with a focus on customer satisfaction. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Proficiency in using Micros POS or similar systems for cash handling and order processing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for customer service. Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus. Experience as a barista or knowledge of coffee preparation is desirable but not required. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
