We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Shift Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a background in hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Front of House Shift Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing guest experiences, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and customers.
Responsibilities
Oversee front-of-house operations to ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate processing of transactions using POS systems.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and maintain communication between front and back of house.
Monitor cleanliness and organization of dining areas to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
Implement policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in customer service or hospitality management is required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Experience in coffee or knowledge of beverage service is a plus.
Familiarity with cash handling processes and POS systems is essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred but not mandatory.
