About the Role
Burger King Richmond Hill is seeking a dedicated and energetic
Shift Manager (Hourly Shift Coordinator)
with
open availability
to work mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
As a Shift Manager, you will lead restaurant operations during your assigned shifts ensuring smooth service, happy guests, and efficient team performance. You'll also assist with Team Member duties such as prepping food, making sandwiches, and operating the POS and drive-thru when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and motivate Team Members to deliver fast, friendly, and accurate guest service.
Perform and oversee the operation of POS systems and drive-thru transactions efficiently and accurately.
Prepare and assemble food items and sandwiches according to Burger King standards, while guiding Team Members on proper techniques.
Support management in driving sales, maintaining profitability, and achieving operational goals.
Follow all cash control and security procedures, including safe counts and cash drawer management, and ensure Team Members do the same.
Maintain and check inventory, receive deliveries, and complete all shift-related documentation; supervise Team Members in these tasks as needed.
Train, coach, and provide ongoing feedback to Team Members to improve performance and ensure standards are met.
Ensure the restaurant meets all food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards by performing tasks and supervising Team Members in their duties.
Perform and direct interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, restocking supplies, taking out garbage, and cleaning around the restaurant property (parking lot, walkways, drive-thru).
Assist with basic maintenance of restaurant equipment and ensure proper functioning, while delegating responsibilities appropriately.
Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and coach Team Members on effective guest service.
Work various positions during busy periods and coordinate Team Members to maintain service levels.
Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching; encourage Team Members to follow safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation procedures by performing duties and supervising Team Members accordingly.
Qualifications
Previous food service or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
Open availability for any shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
Reliable and able to commute or relocate to
