The Shift Electrician will be responsible to troubleshoot, maintain, track and repair electrical issues along with basic mechanical tasks such as carrying out preventative, predictive, proactive maintenance, assist with rebuilds, repairs and general maintenance as required.
Execute scheduled maintenance activity and meet schedule compliance targets
Lock and Tag equipment in preparation for maintenance activities
Carryout repairs and adjustments of equipment
Participating in equipment failure investigations/ Root Cause Analysis
Record, update, and maintain Key performance indicators
Create work requests in Computerized Maintenance Management system and follow up correction through backlog tracking/ planning meetings
Other duties as assigned
A certified Journeyman Electrician
PLC programming training / experience in Rockwell format or equivalent
Panel builder programming knowledge would be an asset
Electronic, AC & DC control circuits and circuit board troubleshooting and repair
Able to work additional hours or on weekends as required
Able to work well with minimal supervision and alone for extended periods
Read and interpret P&IDs, Electrical Schematics, Hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
Working knowledge of Pumps, Gearboxes, Electrical Motors, Conveying systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
