Air Excellence is a locally owned HVAC company serving Saskatoon and the surrounding area. Our team consists of qualified and experienced tradespeople providing maintenance, service, and installation of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and mining facilities.

Sheet Metal Worker (2nd Year Apprentice or Higher)

The Sheet Metal Worker (2nd-Year Apprentice or Higher) position is based in Saskatoon, SK and reports directly to the Service, Construction, and Project Managers at Air Excellence.

The ideal candidate is a registered sheet metal apprentice (minimum 2nd year) or a Journeyperson who is motivated, safety-focused, and capable of working alongside a skilled multi-trade team in commercial, industrial, and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication, installation, and modification of sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components Installation and retrofitting of HVAC equipment in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes Assist with troubleshooting airflow, ducting, and mechanical system issues Perform maintenance and service work on HVAC systems as required Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite Complete required documentation, reports, and job records Perform physically demanding tasks Other duties as assigned

Skills

Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and HVAC systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude Safety-focused with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional communication and customer-service skills Willingness to learn and develop trade skills

Qualifications

Registered Sheet Metal Apprentice (2nd year or higher) or Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker Valid apprenticeship registration in Saskatchewan (or ability to transfer) Willingness to wear company uniforms and adhere to PPE and safety requirements Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record Willing and able to travel to job sites as required

Compensation

$22-$45 per hour Bonus pays Commission pays 8-10hr shift Monday to Friday.
