Position Details

Title:

HVAC Installer/ Gas Fitter/ Sheet Metal Journeyman

Reports to:

Installation Manager & Owner

Works With:

Technician, office staff, apprentices, homeowners

Hours:

Monday-Friday,

8:00AM-5:00pm

( Occasional overtime or extended shifts as required; paid accordingly)

Compensation:

Competitive, based on experience & certification

Role Purpose

Install, fabricate and commission residential HVAC and gas systems with exceptional workmanship, professionalism, and homeowner care - upholding the Rimbey Heating standard.

Professionalism & Team Standards

1. Arrive on time and prepared for work.

2. Maintain a professional appearance and wear company uniform.

3. Represent the company with respect, integrity, and clear communication.

4. Follow safety procedures, SOPs and Alberta building/gas codes.

Installations & Technical Duties

5. Install HVAC equipment (furnaces,AC,IAQ,ventilation)

6. Fabricate and install sheet metal, ducting and fittings to code

7. Perform gas fitting duties safely and accurately.

8. Complete startup & commissioning procedures (including static pressure & combustion analysis)

9. Maintain and expand personal tool set; properly maintain company tools.

10. Keep company vehicle clean, stocked and maintained(fluids,tires.etc.)

11. Protect customer property and maintain clean work areas.

Customer Communication

12. Clearly explain work to homeowners(scope, timelines, system basics)

13. Provide helpful, respectful customer support during and after installation.

14. Leave every home cleaner than it was found

Reporting & Team Support

15. Complete job notes, time tracking and material logging accurately.

16. Notify office and leadership of return visits or add-on work

17. Report safety concerns or equipment issues immediately.

18. Assist and mentor apprentices when needed.

19. Participate in training and team meetings.

Qualifications & Attributes

Required

Alberta Journeyman HVAC/ Sheet Metal/ Gas Fitter (or equivalent experience) Valid driver's license Residential installation experience Strong communication and customer service skills Pride in workmanship and attention to detail Ability to follow SOPs and maintain quality standards Team player with a positive, problem solving mindset

Preferred

Combustion analysis & commissioning experience Ventilation balancing experience Comfortable training apprentices

Pay: $30.00-$46.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
