As a Journeyman you must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team while delivering high-quality service. Successful candidates will have their Journeyperson Certificate, which involves completion of the four-year apprenticeship program and on-the-job training as well as the technical training and exams. Cobra Mechanical deals with a variety of Commercial, Industrial and Residential installations and services. We proudly serve Northern Manitoba communities and locally around Winnipeg and surrounding areas.Key Responsibilities:

• Building and installing products such as eaves-troughs, air and heat ducts, roof decking and sheet metal for Cobra buildings and prefabricated buildings and structures

• Laying out, measuring, and marking sheet metal

• Working with appropriate equipment and tools to cut, bend, or straighten sheet metal

• Welding sheet metal parts

• Polishing seams, joints, and rough surfaces

• Reading and interpreting sketches, blueprints, and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in Sheet Metal Installation

• Journeyperson Certificate

• Valid Drivers License

• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools

• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills, working effectively in a diverse environment.

• Must be aware of the physical demands of the position

Work conditions: Travel to off-site locations is required, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours, and overtime as required.Location: 961 Mazur Ave, Beausejour ManitobaJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $38.00-$40.00 per hourAdditional pay:
