Sheet Metal Fabricator

At E.G. Penner Building Centres Ltd., a COR certified supplier, we strive to be the premier building, home improvement and design centre in Southeastern Manitoba.

As a leading provider in products, service and installations for commercial and residential customers, we are looking for an experienced

Sheet Metal Fabricator

to join our team. The shift is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays required.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricating sheet metal parts using cutting, bending, welding and related sheet metal fabrication equipment

Operating machinery such as brake, shear, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components

Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers to fabricate metal parts

Insulating duct, as required

Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience, as a Metal Fabricator or similar role, is required. A proven record of providing quality workmanship with attention to detail

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes

Familiarity with building and assembling metal structures according to specifications

Ability to interpret technical instructions and follow them accurately

Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

Ability to use brake, shear, plasma cutters, and machining equipment effectively

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Dependable and must be physically capable to perform duties as required

Be a team player with strong time management skills and have the ability to maintain excellent customer relationships.

Strong customer service skills and ability to take custom orders

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
