We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake & Shear Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce precise metal components according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality standards. The Press Brake & Shear Operator plays a vital part in ensuring efficient production processes and high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate press brake & shear machines to bend and form sheet metal components with accuracy. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine specifications. Use hand tools and measurement devices for quality inspection and ensuring parts meet tolerances. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime. Collaborate with team members to ensure production schedules are met efficiently. Assist with related tasks such as material handling using cranes or forklifts when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of welding, machining, blueprint reading, mechanical principles, and assembly processes. Ability to use hand tools, calipers, and perform quality inspections accurately. Experience working with cranes or forklifts is a plus but not mandatory. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Prior experience in manufacturing environments emphasizing precision metal fabrication is preferred.
