About the Role:

As a key member of the Western Canada Maintenance and Turnaround Team, the SH&E Advisor will be responsible for the safety, health, environmnental protection affecting our employees, project and clients.

As a HS&E Advisor at Graham, you will:

  • Work independently and must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Company, its organizational structure and philosophy as well as a thorough knowledge of the engineering, construction, mining, and manufacturing industries, safety, environmental, occupational health and substance abuse regulations.
  • Exercise administrative control over field safety, medical and environmental personnel and operations.
  • Formulate and promulgates policies, standards and procedures.
  • Administer all phases of Company-wide safety, accident prevention, medical and environmental protection programs as they apply to employee safety and health, public safety, equipment and property protection, pollution control and industrial hygiene.
  • Administer plans and coordinates all phases of the Substance Abuse Program.
  • Provide technical advice to management and engineering personnel for problems related to safety, accident prevention, pollution control, industrial hygiene and substance abuse.
  • Head the Environmental Safety and Health Department, and plans and directs all staff support services provided by this Department.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Health and Safety Education/designation such as NCSO, CRSP, CRST, CHSC, etc. is required.
  • 5-10 years' experience in a Health and Safety role
  • Experience in leading a team considered an asset.
  • CSO, H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space, ESC EWP training certificates are required.
