Working in partnership with community organizations, the SANE Program provides specialized, comprehensive medical and/or forensic care to survivors of sexual assault. The SANE program operates out of the The Antigonish Women's Resource Centre and Sexual Assault Services Association (AWRCSASA), an independent, feminist, community-based organization that provides direct services, counselling, advocacy and programs for survivors of sexual violence.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Manager to join our team. The SANE Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day program operations, case management, staff recruitment, training and continuing professional development, engaging and liaising with community stakeholders and agencies, organizing and proving community education about sexual assault and the SANE Program, continuous quality improvement, and ongoing program evaluation and research activities.
Qualifications
5 years of recent professional nursing experience
Current licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses
Master of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Demonstrated management, leadership and supervisory skills
Experience working with community
Demonstrated ability to work from a sexual assault survivor-centered approach
Experience working from a trauma and violence informed perspective.
Demonstrated public speaking, group training and facilitation skills
Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and judgement skills.
Completion of an approved community-based SANE training (preferred)
