MATA29H3 Calculus I for the Life Sciences
Course Description:
A course in differential calculus for the life sciences. Algebraic and transcendental functions; semi-log and log-log plots; limits of sequences and functions, continuity; extreme value and intermediate value theorems; approximation of discontinuous functions by continuous ones; derivatives; differentials; approximation and local linearity; applications of derivatives; antiderivatives and indefinite integrals.

Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience as the instructor of a Mathematics course at the university level (required). Previous teaching experience as the instructor for MATA29H3 or equivalent (strongly desirable).
Duties:
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to course.
Estimated TA Support (Hours):
79 hours per tutorial.
