Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto)Description:Course number and title: LAW7030H/LAW281H1 - Issues in Indigenous Law and Policy in CanadaCourse description:A joint course of the Faculty of Law and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, LAW7030H will deal with selected issues in Aboriginal law and policy in Canada.The objective of this course is to bring together students from multiple faculties, law, global affairs and public policy, and to encourage discussion about the nature of the relationship between Canadian governments and Indigenous communities through an approach that deals with history, contemporary issues, and the leading legal cases in this complex and ever changing field.Estimated course enrolment: 25 studentsEstimated TA support: N/AClass schedule: Lecture: Tuesday 6-8pmSessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2024 \xe2\x80\x93 December 31, 2024Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $9,457.90; Sessional Lecturer I, Long Term - $9,930.79; Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77; Sessional Lecturer II (Long Term) - $10,326.62; Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76; Sessional Lecturers III (Long Term) - $10,570.02Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree in Law required, with specialization in public policy. Extensive knowledge of and experience in Indigenous law and policy sector required.
